Ashley Aliprandi

Hello. I am a student and living in Florence. What is the best way to get to these amazing sandy beaches by train? What route do you suggest.... ? Also I am wanting to do a wine tour through the country side.... ? Just looking for a bit of guidance. The trips would be during weekend and (being a student) I would like to keep in affordable. Thank you so much

Hi Ashley,

Beaches: We suggest to take a train because it's the easiest and cheapest solution. You can go to Livorno if you like rocks (especially the province: Quercianella, Castiglioncello for example) or to Viareggio and Versilia in general if you like sandy beaches. You have to leave early in the morning because the trip will take at least 1h and a half.

Wine tour: I suggest you to search something in the Chianti area, there are lots of wine-producing farms were you can taste wine and see the production cycle.

Hi Ashley, for the beaches our friends have already given excellent informations so i can suggest you the Chianti wine tasting organized by Hotel in Chianti Palazzo Leopoldo at Radda in Chianti betweeen Siena and Florence. You can choose among 3 Tours: Chianti Classico Tour, Brunello Tour and Vip Chianti Tour.
