We are a group of 10 adults staying at villa in Bucine. We would very much like to visit National Park of the Tuscany Archipelago. Is this possible in a day and are there any boat charters who can take us there? (Sept4-16).
As Loredana was explaining in above answer, it's quite difficult to have a day trip to the National Park of Tuscany Archipelago. Even why it covers a wide area including several islands (Elba, Capraia, Gorgona, Giglio, Giannutri, Pianosa and Montecristo). For example: To reach Elba, Capraia and Gorgona the nearest port is Livorno or Piombino, but if you want to visit Giglio and Giannutri you'd better depart from Porto S. Stefano (Argentario Promontory). You should arrange a 1 night stay on the coastal side of Tuscany (depending of which Islands you prefer to visit) to have all the time to spend a day sailing among 1 or maximum 2 islands at your choice!
We are an incoming travel agency and usually arrange day trip to Giannutri and Giglio by private boat, but in your case it should be very expensive to arrange r/t transfer to/from bucine to Livorno or Argentario in connection with boat scheduled hours (dep 09:00 a.m. Arr. 06:30 p.m.)
Don't hesitate to ask for further infos and details!
Enjoy your trip to Italy!

Mimma, please respond to my answer I gave you regarding our interest in chartering a private boat for the day to visit the islands of Gigilio and Giannutri. We will be at Livorno or Argentario for 9:00 a.m. If need be. Linda by Linda Glasgow 1 year ago
Dear Linda,it's quite difficult to find a boat to chart esclusively for you because or they have not room enough for 10 people or they're too expensive (300/3500 euro per day!).If you provide to arrive in time to Porto S Stefano you could have a day trip on a private scheduled MS (boarding max 250/300 people) that departs quite every day in summer season. The day programme is following: Departure at 09:30 to Giannutri Island (40'/50'), arrival and time at leisure (about 2 hrs). At fixed hour embarkatio and departure to Giglio Island (around 40' sailing) and lunch on board during the sail. They will serve you a tastefull fish meal with unlimited fresh white wine. Arrival and afternoon at leisure to visit the island. Departure back to Porto S. Stefano is around at 6:00 p.m (45/50' sailing) I think it's the best way to visit both islands in a day, and you can trust me when I say that all our clients are really enthsiastic about this trip! If you're interested in and you need further details it's better if you write me directly at: Info@sttravel.org.
We could even fix a phone appointment to talk directly so that you can pose me all questions you need and I can give you all infos about this trip or other travel tips in Tuscany! Bye and good night! Mimma
Hello, I think it is difficult to get to and in the islands of the archipelago toscano in a single day! You have to consider that to go from Bucine (Arezzo) to Piombino (where is the port of embarkation for exemple for the island of Elba), you can take two and a half hours by car. For the park there is this link :
www.parks.it/parco.nazionale.arcip.toscano/Eiti.php
For the Elba the ship cheaper is the Moby and this is the link:

For any information, write me I will be happy to help you!
